Allround Touren - The Romantic Road

Wurzburg
Wurzburg

The Romantic road is a tourism-street between Wuerzburg and Fuessen. The approximately 370 kilometres long track is valid as oldest and most famous touristic road of Germany. It follows Roman army-streets and medieval trade routes in big parts and opens up numerous cities and places with impressive sights. The diversified landscape offers prominent river valleys and extensive meadows - and woodlands until the impressive Alps-scenery. Among the most important stations are Wuerzburg, the tradition-steeped city of Dinkelsbuehl, the world-famous Rothenburg, Noerdlingen, Landsberg, the old trading centre Augsburg with the Fuggerhouse, and finally Fuessen as final - or starting point of the trip.
Munich is a convenient gateway for exploring the Romantic Road (RR) by car. You stop whenever your mood suggests and you will always smell the breath of history.
We recommend starting from Munich pass the Bavarian lakes to Fuessen and then following the RR up to Wuerzburg.
ALLROUND car & motorbike rental will supply you with perfect routing - maps and lots of hints.
